Certain MyPlaces not responding to tap / touch

I currently have two TomTom Go 6200 devices (one purchased very recently).

For some time, I'd noticed that after I'd added a "My Place" to certain locations on the UK map (using either the TomTom device or the android app) that when I touch / click certain icons on the navigation devices, they do not respond with a pop-up with their name and options (Drive to / rename, etc). Only a "plus" sign appears as though no icon was there. If I go to the same icons on any of my android devices using MyDrive app, there are no issues clicking the same erroneous icons - all options / name etc appear as expected.

Initially, I thought it was a problem with my first device. However, after purchasing a second TomTom Go 6200 very recently, and setting it up on the same account, I discovered that the same locations have the same issue on both devices, so concluded that the issue is not with the devices themselves, after all.

I would like to know whether anything can be done to correct this issue, as the problematic icons can occur across the UK map, and not only in one location. The majority of My Places work as expected, just certain areas of the map appear to have issues. I have deleted and replaced the MyPlaces in both the same location, and / or very close on the map, using both the TomTom as well as the android app, but nothing fixes them - they remain stubbornly "broken". It is as though there are dead-spots where this occurs on the UK & Ireland map(s).

Here is one location / area (I have examples of a number of other areas on the map both locally & further afield in the UK) as an example where I'd marked roadside parking areas, at the address of :-

Cromer Road
Stoke-on-Trent
ST1 6AN,
GBR

Both icons show and display a pop-up menu on the android app (screenshot below taken from android MyDrive app, on tablet), but neither of these work correctly on either of my TomTom Go 6200's. Both devices are fully updated (as of August 2024), connected to the cloud, and on the very same TomTom account.

Can anyone reproduce this issue, please?

Many thanks.

By the way .... I've been in contact with TomTom Support, and am currently in a lengthy exchange of emails back & forth, receiving "less then helpful" advice, and promises to escalate to the Development Team (which doesn't appear to be happening).

The latest "suggestion" is that a software update is due soon which could resolve the issue 🤔🤨 I've said I'll get back to them if nothing gets fixed, so not to close the case (3015877).

Does 'sensitivity' of the icons change if you zoom up first? Perhaps several steps?

Hi @canderson 👋
Thanks for your reply 👍👌.

I've just tried zooming in fully and incrementally moving out, but the stubborn icons refuse to respond at any zoom level, or length of touch / tap.

Having just scanned around the map locally, there seems more unresponsive icons than I realised. The problem ones aren't necessarily recently added ones either. A number I've added in Pembrokeshire recently have both working as well as "broken" icons. Frustrating when you have to find the favourites via search, especially if you've forgotten the precise name given to the location, and there are numerous other MyPlaces surrounding the area you "think" the place is on the map.

I have the 620 (the non-cellular version of the same device) and am not seeing this behavior here.
Can you see that all of your favorites are stored out on the TomTom cloud (the online planner)?

Thanks again 👍
Just checked and yes, they're there. I've taken a screenshot of the two shown above, and they're both clickable 🤔
