Can't find simple map.

IIRC there are two versions of the 3d map - the main one plus a simpler version that shows only the street you are on and the main cross streets. I tried for half an hour or more to figure out how to access the simpler map. How can I find it? Thanks.

Unless you are asking about 2D view and 3D view of the map, I'm unclear what exactly you are asking. There is only one map.

I shouldn't really call it a version, there was some function that simplified the map, and eliminated all but the most necessary detail - that's what I'm looking for.

Perhaps it is Change Preferences-->Name Preferences (page 4) and then check or uncheck the choices as you wish.

I don't see anything called Name Preferences on any page. As for page 4, it has Language, Set Owner, Left-Handed, Brightness and Map Colors.

Do you have a setting in Preferences to Show More Menu Options? (maybe the last page) If so, choose that and all menu choices for all screens should appear.
