TomTom Model(s)
Go 50 C
The other day I fired up MyDrive Connect and USBed my TomTom Go 50C. MyDrive immediately connected and updated everything that needed updating. A day later I noticed that my map of Western Europe was expired, so I purchased it, but when I USBed my Go 50C the connection could not be made. I have tried many times to connect the Go 50, but MyDrive refuses to acknowledge it. So, how am I going to renew my Western Europe map?

The device is fully charged, and it appears to have plenty of space in memory.

Yes, I am USBing the device directly into the computer.

Thanks very much for any help you can give.

It's possible that the 'bridge' software from MyDrive Connect is misbehaving. You don't say what operating system you are running, but does the computer itself seem to recognize your device when the USB is connected? If so, I'd try a reboot to refresh the MyDrive Connect application.

Thanks very much, CAnderson. I'm using a Windows 7 machine. I had done everything I could think of on the MyDrive Connect side, so I uninstalled the TomTom 50 driver and reset the 50, then installed the driver. That did the trick ... MD Connect immediately recognized the 50 and started downloading my new Western Europe map.

Thanks again,

JBelmo
