Can't Change Car Symbol

I have the TOmTOm One 3rd edition and I attempted to change the car symbol, but it tells me the symbol has been changed but I still get the default.....what am I doing wrong?

The changed symbol will only get seen when the map is 3D, not 2D view.

OK, I am having the same problem, but I am using the 3D map. I know a long time ago, I added a file that gave me the itenerary option on my One 3rd. How do I get this to work?
