Cannot save speed camera warning POIs

I am using TOMTOM6 on a IPAQ 2210 pda and it was working fine with a downloaded speed camera database. However having had to reinstall the softwara after the pda crashed I now have all the same POIs but when I set up warning, beeps etc they are not saved when I close the application down. Its very frustrating- any ideas how to ensure the proximity warnings etc stay as I have set them?
