Can you attach XL2 IQ to a Navmat

Sorry about this, last one hopefully. I don't like having a satnav stuck to a windscreen, too many experiences of it flying across the dashboard at inopportune moments and also the security aspect of having the dreaded ring for all to see. I have one of the NavMat style devices which work wonderfully and I want to keep using it. I keep looking at pictures of the XL2 IQ and I can only see it fitting to a windscreen. Can it be used on a mat device and if so how? Would I need to buy a separate adaptor/stand to attach the Tomtom to and then attach that, by sucker, to the mat.
