Can some one please tell me how to use traffic

Hi,

I got the tomtom go510 to work with the traffic plus services but i really do not know how to use it. Every so often I will get a 3 beep tone about traffic but is it supposed to automatically re-route me?

How do I effectivly use the traffic feature? I hvae not see any documentation on it.

The beep is to notify of a change in traffic conditions. I believe it should optimize the route after the traffic update.

You have to click on Traffic Preferences and click the box to says "optimize after each update"

I have a 910 and when it update it tells you if the traffic has change and it is set to re route. The only thing if there is no better way to go then it will keep you on the same route.
