hello to all
i have a 540 and a 550 if i make a back up of my 540 then erase the all the files on the 550 and install the files on the 550 would it work??? i'm just bored and want to experiment.??

No it wouldn't work. Especially if your trying copy the map because that is tied to the device ID.

ok i figuired that much so if i leave that part alone would everything make it work like a 540

No, because the navcore is not support on the 550 model device.

If it were THAT easy, a whole lot of people would have dumped the EasyMenu system on their 550 by using firmware from the 540 units! I'm wondering if perhaps that is the OP's real motivation as well.
