can I get time to show up all the time?

I thought there was a way to do this, but if there is I can't find it.

I want the current time to show up on my unit at all times, whether or not I am following a route. The only way it can do it now it if I put in a destination, in fact very little shows up in the navigation bar unless I am en route to a destination. I'd like to have the navigation bar show more info when the unit is not en route to a dest.

I thought for sure I used to have the time displaying all the time anyway, but I could be confusing it with the Nuvi in my wife's vehicle.

Is it possible to have it display all the time?

Preferences-->Status Bar-->Show current time.
