Can I connect to my Macbook's bluetooth?

After struggling to update the maps on our family's Verizon phones, I remembered that my Macbook has bluetooth capabilities. Our TT does not look for it though, it says it is always looking for phones. Is there a way we can update the maps through the laptop?

Hopefully someone more knowledgeable will chime in, but I believe that Tomtom only includes Bluetooth profiles for connecting to phones/etc, not file-transfer and other profiles you'd need to connect to a computer.

However, you should be able to plug the Tomtom right into your Mac's USB port. I have no trouble updating my Tomtom this way using either my 12" Powerbook G4 at home or my Mac Pro at work.
