Buying new sat nav

Hi guys and Merry Christmas. I am looking to buy a new sat nav in the sales after christams. I am looking at the TT 1005 but have a question.
I live in the UK but will be moving to Australia next yeat at some point so i would like to use the same sat nav in both countries.
Does the 1005 UK/Europe version allow map downloads and is there enough space on the internal memory to hold both map sets at the same time.
I have been trying to find out for a couple of hours but i am getting conflicting information.

While the map fo Australis is by itself not that large in size, it may not fit on the device along with the installed map.

That said, the TomTom UK site seems to say it should work:

But don't get the LIVE device since the functionality won't work in Australia. That LIVE model requires an Australia specific sim card.
