I'm thinking on buying a 720 that does not come with the manuals and cd-rom (only the unit, car holder, charger and box).

Will I need these for anything?

I'm worried that tomtom home might need a code or key that is included on any of these items.

Thanks in advance for any help.

I don't think you need all that.
In fact, I never rip the plastic cover out of the usermanual yet.

You can always get the User's Guide online and for Tomtom Home, get the latest online anyway.

Things to consider since it is obviously a used unit:

    - How old is the map installed on unit? Be prepared to pay $$$ to get a newer map (V7 maps ARE on sale till end of July).
    - Who are you buying it from? Private or Retailer?
    - What kind of warranty will you be getting?
