I couldn't find this through search - - how do I determine which voices are what in the 'Voice' folder ... so I can delete the voices I do not need and make some more room on my XL One?

Second question... is it worth defragmanting the TomTom and/or will it do any harm to it?

Thanks.

Yes, HOME would be the easiest way.

You can also open the *.vif file in a text editor such as Notepad in Windows and it'll tell you what voice it is. You can then delete both the *.vif and the matching *.chk file. I would only do this if you make a backup.

You can also delete voices easily (and safely) from the device itself, in the change voice menu. That way it is obvious which voice you are deleting (as it is with HOME).

Defraggin has absolutely no effect on solid state devices, only on discs. It is utterly pointless on an SD card.
