My old Tom Tom is 10 years old and out of date. It had the option of viewing directions for a trip by clicking on "Browse as Text". You could preview the directions in written text form without having to look at the map. Does the Tom Tom Go 60S have the feature of viewing directions for a trip by Text feature?

Once you have a route planned and running, touch the little oval at the top of the screen that shows your next direction. It will flip to a text based list of upcoming turns.

Thank you for replying so quickly.i previously looked at the manual but couldn't figure which section to look in. I just use my gps for traveling around my area of PA so I don't need anything fancy. When my 10 year old gps couldn't locate my doctors new office with new streets I knew it was time to update. Some of my friends makes of gps's don't have that option of browsing as text. Thanks for your time.

All - PDF searching in a browser (as is the case with the above link).

Start at the top of the document, do CTRL+F (Strg+F for our German language friends) and type the search word in the box at bottom left. Use the down arrow there to look for the next instance.
If not found when reaching the end of the document, try another search word.

I used text for your search and the 3rd instance is what canderson suggested above although more details only come at the 10th instance.
