Broken screen

I've had my GO6100 for a few years now, & it was wonderful (in the main!) but it fell on the floor recently & is now sporting a beautiful diagonally cracked screen.
I was hoping that it was just a crack, as it started up, but unfortunately it no longer functions - I tried typing & just get @@@and other random letters

Help!

Do I need a new sat nav or can it be repaired??

I've tried using Waze & google maps etc in the meantime, but it drains the phone battery too much & I can't attach it to a decent holder due to the phone case I use.

Also, if its a write off, what's a good replacement - I like to have world maps as we travel a fair bit,

Google 'SatNav repair shops in the UK' and do some research.

thanks, good to know how much it would cost to DIY it....I've sent off for a quote from Sat Nav Repairs, hopefully they are reputable
