Breadcrumbs using TT XL-S

Newbie trying to figure out if I can use the TomTom XL-S can create "breadcrumbs" to find my way back when hiking? Planning a trip to the Badlands of South Dakota.

No. It could get you back to the nearest road in an emergency situation but not very good as a hiking gps solution. Keep in mind that device was specifically designed for a vehicle on the road...

Thanks for the reply. I also just received the same info from TomTom tech support. May have to return this one - it appears Garmin does offer this option.

If you visit the 3rd party forum, you see listed some apps that may help you. Tripmaster and Off Road Navigator are two.
