Bought USED 1535TM & map code is registered...

I bought a used 1535TM on eBay and it's working beautifully, with My TomTom installed, set up my TomTom account, I even uploaded SpeedCam POI's from my awesome www.phantamalert.com account.

However when I put in the map promo code is tells me that it is already registered to another account... duh! it's a used 1535!! Do I need to change association to update maps? How do I register the map subscription to my account?

Ugh. You've got a problem that can only be resolved now by tech support. Understand that from their perspective, they must assume the unit is stolen if you cannot demonstrate ownership in some fashion, the primary one being having the original account information.

Is there ANY possibility that you can obtain the previous email and password associated with that unit from the seller?
