Hi,

Ive a real issue with my TT via125 ....my pc does not seem to recognise my device and Ive tried everything.

Now I got a message on my TT asking if I wanted to continue live services .....as a Taxi driver I do...so I say yes. I see TT is offering one yr only for 47.50uk pounds.

Correct my if wrong but I heard that I can have lifetime updates for 75.00 which should I choose?

Are you using MyTomTom (get it at tomtom.com/getstarted) with that unit? It doesn't use Home 2.

I've seen TomTom's offers for Lifetime Free Maps subscriptions but not one for Lifetime Free Live Services, which would be quite different. Are you sure of the details of that offer?

The fly in the ointment seems to be that, although Traffic comes as Lifetime Free it needs that wee bit of an (unlimited) data plan by the user to connect to it!

True for 'future' models, but we haven't seen those yet.
The good news for those units, when we see them down the road (OK, bad pun) is that traffic has never been a data hog. As it's only provided within a radius of the user's current location, the data load isn't bad at all.
