Backroads Maps for BC

We purchased a cd of backroads in BC, Canada and would like to use it with our TomTom One XL. We have copied the maps to an SD Card but it doesn't show up on our TomTom. Is there an application we should load onto the card in order to use these maps.

This doesn't sound like an official TomTom map. It won't work, I'm afraid!

There is an ability to add, I think, raster maps/pictures, like the Satellite map image that TT can show if you zoom out very far. There is a discussion of this in one of the subforums. So you might be able to scan/copy the maps and use them as overlays in the TT. I understand the process can be a bit tedious as they have to be calibrated (lat/long at opposite map corners or some such)
