TomTom Model(s)
Go Discover
I am having authentication problems like others have had according to previous posts. I am using my home network which works fine for my other devices but when I try to connect my Tomtom i get a message saying ‘Connected no internet’ so I cannot link my device to MyDrive.

i have tried the steps to Modify, Forget and then reconnect but no joy. My internet provider has checked the connection and it is OK.

Anyone have any other suggestions? I have raised a service ticket with TomTom but no replies yet.

Many thanks, this did solve the problem. I don't understand why connecting to the GPS signal should affect the ability to get Wifi working but anyway all OK now.

Just a wild guess, but by first having the location of the device, the device can then decide how to manage allowable WiFi usage given the country that is discovered? Note especially the hash that international rules make of the 5GHz band:

Seems an interesting approach to the problem, and one that is often ignored by some manufacturers, but certainly an effective one given that the WiFi hardware in a newer TomTom is capable of a very broad range of operation.
