TomTom Model(s)
TomTom GO Expert and TomTom (both Android)
I replaced my old phone (Samsung Galaxy) with a new one (Google Pixel).
On Samsung, I had an app that allowed setting sound volume per app and per channel. It was a Galaxy-specific app from the Samsung app store.
On Pixel, I am now trying to find the best volume for speed camera alerts when driving with Android Auto. There are also additional choices in TomTom GO app:
▪ Music channel
▪ Voice call channel
▪ System channel
▪ Notification channel
▪ Alarm channel

Which one do you use?

I use the music channel so when an instruction is given it lowers the music volume slightly. It wouldn't hurt to try the others and see what best suits your needs.

I have also chosen the music channel.

I also use Samsung currently. What is the app name on Samsung that I can control each app and channel on Samsung please and do u download that app on Google Play Store OR on Samsung's Store? Thank u in advance.

I forgot to be honest. Maybe "Sound Assistant" on Samsung's store?

I am often driving with a bluetooth headset on, so I can clearly hear any alerts and instructions, without bothering co-drivers. Unfortunately, Android Auto is having a forced default routing of nearly any sound output to the car with no option to select the headset instead - except from this voice call cannel which goes to the headset.

Why don't you try the sound assistant from Samsung like kajne recommended above. May be that will help solve it.
