Audio Crackes: very harsh voice

Hi
I got tomtom One V3( the one with mini usb charger).
It was all fine till yesterday.
When the instructions are given, the voice is just a sort of static. No voice instructions are without heavy crackles and are incomplete.
Its as if speakers connects/disconnects/connects/disconnects. The start up is crackled but is complete.
I tried reset button at the bottom and also tried to update the device via tomtom Home.
Please help.

Open up the Tomtom drive in windows explorer. Then delete your voices folder and vocalizer folder (if present).

Then follow these steps to reinstall your app, then download the voices again from HOME. That is about all you can do from a software standpoint.

If it still gives you problems, call Tomtom phone support to ask for warranty replacement.
