Are voice files pretty much universal?

TomTom Model(s)

Hello,
I created a voice featuring a friend's mother (as kind of a joke) for a ONE 140. Now a couple of other family members want to get a Tomtom and add it to their new units. I know it works on the 130 and 140, so I could limit them to that model. But can I give them some flexibility on their choices of models? Is there a way I can be sure that the voice files will work? Thank you! And by the way, I think they're crazy. I wouldn't want my mother-in-law's voice on my system!

Here's the thing. Many of the older models where a custom recorded voice would work are no longer supported by TomTom as being an end of life model. No more maps. Home won't work with them any longer as it pertains to the emulator (Run my device).

You might still be able to use self recorded warnings for these models if you can find them:

(look under basic devices).
