Announcing myself (1005 and google maps prob)

I (after buying a new 1005 live) have discovered the annoyance of google 'sent to gps' failing. I have read via google generic searching that this seems to still be the case.
Also the tomtom route planner will not send the planned route to the device as it expects tomtom home to be the interface between app and device. Fail!

Is it still the case that the 1005 live cannot accept any external route plan?

Apologies for posting in the incorrect place, but I am not sure where to post this as there are at least two issues.

Route planner sends the destination only. Your model doesn't have true Itinerary Planning (no Nav 3 device using MyTomTom does). You can add 4 waypoints max to an established estination on your device but can't save the route.
