Have successfully connected Tom Tom app using android auto to my cars Smartdash Pro tablet but cannot get any sound to operate.

Yes, but I cannot get Smartdash Pro to give Tom Tom sound

Yes, but when Smartdash Pro is connected to Tom Tom there is no sound for directions. How do I turn on the sound?

By what means are you connecting your Smart Dash to your car audio system -- if you are?
The Smart Dash might not be able to handle concurrent BT data connections between your TomTom and your vehicle.

For grins, you might try connecting the TomTom app to the Smart Dash via Bluetooth, then use the FM transmitter on your Smart Dash to see if you can get audio to your car audio system that way.
