Android Auto and Android TomTomGo do not play nice:

  • Android Auto locks up my phone, so I cannot gain access to my apps, when I’m sitting parked or even after I exit the car following use of the “combo”. By fumbling I can gain access to some apps, but not all.
  • Of late, the last few days, navigation voice guidance is clipped/truncated about 80 to 90% of the time. To wit: In 300 feet turn right onto xxx street, then turn…..[silence] But, when I first set a location is does provide the full message: You will arrive at your destination at time xx:xx
  • About once a week, the in-vehicle screen (and underlying apps) freeze hence no movement on the screen and no notifications via the apps. I need to pull-over, and reboot the Android Samsung phone.

Yes, I am at the latest level/update of my Samsung software, Android Auto and TomTomGo apps software.

Yes, I experience the same anomaly via both Bluetooth and USB connectivity.

Yes, I’ve powered off and restarted my Samsung multiple times.

Yes, I've posted this (albeit abridged per the website limitation) two days ago to Google Play for both apps. Posting with a ONE-STAR, for attention/

Android Auto=14.1.651454 TomTomGo=3.6.284 Samsung: UI=7 0, Android Version=15

If you only use the app on your phone, does everything work?
If the answer is yes,
This is more of an issue with Android Auto.

Have not tried that iteration. But, I will try "phone only" at my next opportunity.
Thanks

OK, two replies following today's tests:
++ Disabled Android Auto and navigation via the phone only produces 100% complete guidance messages.
++ Even with Android Auto disabled, cannot access apps unless I fiddle and somehow gain the attention of the Android software to initiate or open other apps.
