Well, sadly I decided to buy before I knew of this issue. Apparently the TOMTOM interface will not allow you to navigate to a street address that contains letters and numbers, eg 39W185. This basically is my entire neighborhood, so it renders the device pretty useless.

Does anyone know if this is eventually fixable with a new map or software upgrade, or is it just the way it is ? Is anyone able to extract addresses int hat format from the devices internal guts - e.g. is it just an interface thing, or a database thing ? I tried a friend's Garmin and it can do this with no problems.

    Thanks,
