930t mapshare update

Hi

I just bought a 930t yesterday installed & updated in a process that took about 3.5 hrs including mapshare

Still playing with it but when I connected again today it took another hour

Is this normal? Good internet connection speeds 6 to 7 Mb cpu running at 100% 135000k

I spoke to tomtom in holland and all they could suggest was a firewall conflict. I use AVG

Any ideas or comments would be welcome.

Downloading new maps from TomTom can be tedious .... often well over an hour. Their servers are really slow.

Your times do seem extreme, however.

Its never taken me that long to download (except for buying the new maps). Map share updates and application updates are normally pretty quick. For example the GPS quick fix update is only a couple of seconds. But if your downloading it to the other side of the world it could take longer.
