920 - Map Accuracy Problems

Think if you venture to Boards covering GPS units other than TomToms, that it is a common complaint. The fact is some brands are more accurate in some geographical areas than others and the reverse is true in other areas.

I guess the best thing for any prospective purchaser of a GPS unit is to do a side-by-side 'test run' of different brands for map areas where the purchaser frequents and go with the brand that serves his/her specific needs.

For what it's worth, I just returned my 920 to Costco for the exact same problem. I also had problems with the battery holding a charge. I bought it when Costco ran the hot price of $299. I tried to exchange it thinking I would try it one more time. No go at Costco, the price is now $399.
It's back to my indistructible, and reliable 910.
