I built a 12v to 5v DC converter, removed the center dash bolt cover. I then drilled a hole and put a 3.5mm jack in the cover. I then made a 6 inch 3.5mm to mini usb cable. This keeps the cable to a minimum but also allows easy removal to use in another vehicle with the cig lighter adapter. Here are some pics to loook at......

Cover replaced on dash. Jack is hardly even noticeable...
