920 and turn off navigation

I am new to TOMTOM... with a recent 920 purchase.

I am looking for a way to turn of the Navigation feature... and allow the map to show your position as you drive around.... this is a nice feature found in the Garmins and was hoping that it existed in the TOMTOMs.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

What you want is the 'Clear Route' function. I'm not familiar with the 920, but if you don't see it in the menu offerings, find the item in Preferences that says 'Display all menu items'. Then go back and look again and the 'Clear route' icon should be there.

Unique, just like on the other GO systems just ask navigate to a recent destination and hit the cancel before the GO shows you the route to follow; it will then display your current GPS position on the map as you move around. Have fun
