510 using the same mount as the 605TM...?

I got an old TomTom 510 that's acting up. Since I've installed and hardwired its power-socket mount very neatly into my car's dashboard, I wonder if a newer & larger screen TomTom (e.g., the 1605TM) is using the same socket -- i.e., if it would be an easy plug & play between those two models.

Any help appreciated.

The 1605 is mounted with a permanently affixed suction cup, and is connected using a USB Micro-B style connector, something that didn't even exist back in 2006 when the 510 was released with the 'Active Dock' style mount. The 1605 doesn't even have a dock. None of the newer models will fit the older style 510 dock. Sorry.

They just don't seem to be able to leave 'well enough' alone. The good news. We hear that all of the newest units (including GO500 and GO600) have a really nice docking system again (but not same as 510). Still waiting to see those in North America, though.

I'm sorry to sound like a newbee here, but what's currently TomTom's largest unit..?
