340M Screen Going Crazy

I just got this as a gift and plugged it it to update. During the restart process of mt update the screen started scrolling really fast. Now it does this every time it is started at the tomtom spash screen. It is just a really fast scrolling of the screen. It loads but does not stop the scrolling. It is not even close to readable. What can I do to fix this? Is it a bad unit?

Welcome to TomTomForums.

This has been seen before and seems to be a fault or bug in the application or NAVCORE that first comes on the XL-340.

See this thread for possible fix... be sure to read pg2. Sometimes it takes 2 or 3 updates (apps update sequentially) to correct this.
