10-bit GPS rollover event Apr 6, 2019

TT devices that would see this issue are receiving updates to their firmware.
What is embarrassing is that any TT devices require an update to cover this problem. This was entirely predictable and isn't the first time a rollover has happened (same thing back in 1999), and companies like Garmin anticipated this issue in their firmware many, many years ago.

The GPS systems will be having their week count increased to 13 bits soon, and this won't be a problem in the future.

I did get conflicting reports from Garmin Europe (no info, still testing) via email and Garmin UK (no issues foreseen, testing carried out) via chat.

You needn't worry about your Garmin products. They were around back in 1999 when this happened the first time, and they learned their lesson then. Even really OLD handheld units are doing just fine with existing firmware.

What surprises me is that none of the TT developers (until Nav4 devices) seemed to be aware of this. No sense of history, I guess. In the tech business, it's usually a good idea to hire at least a few experienced old farts to keep the young blood honest.

Yes, you are now in good shape.
