hi all
i have a 550 live. working fine for 1 week and today i started a new journey only for the hd updates to stop working. my subscription is up to date and the rest of the sat nav works perfectly fine. any ideas?
i have tried refreshing the unit.

Finally, after a delay of a month, the map is being distriibuted through the various TomTom sites.
What is significant is that the 2GB map is MORE than 2 GB! It shows as 2264.2 mb. The info says this:
Users of devices with limited memory may not be able to install the complete map on their device, but will be able to choose between and switch map zones using TomTom HOME.

This is their first "HD Traffic" launch where they are not using Vodafone. They are not using cellprobes at all. Instead they're using feedback from a leading stolen vehicle recovery vendor.

Tomtom just offerred two brand new models on their USA website, an XL350 and XXL550.
At first glance, they appear to be no different from an XL340TM and XXL540TM, with similar features and lifetime traffic/maps.

I just bought my 930 a month ago and was starting to get the hang of the traffic feature (when to listen to it, when not to) and my trial ran out... I too had seen it in Home just a few days ago for $25 or $30 as a previous thread here mentioned... but now, it's not in Home at all as a buyable service, and even going to their website does not let it appear when I click on "Buy...

Tomtom's CEO said in their financial conference call that they will be announcing "innovations and product improvements that will be coming through in 2010" tomorrow.
They said this will focus on the "repeat segment" which means the high end segment (hopefully).

Hey everyone!
Just got a TomTom one (from QVC) and haven't really had much time to play around with it. So far though I'm very excited to enjoy my first GPS!!
Anyhow, I will be in Buenos Aires for a month and would love to have the GPS with BsAs maps......any chance this is possible?
