Has anyone seen delayed PLUS traffic information lately?

A few weeks ago, it often reported that PLUS traffic was delayed by about 15 minutes, from an incident occurring to it actually showing up on a Tomtom.

However, there was an all-night PLUS outage on the evening of 6/24, and since then I haven't noticed any delays in receiving traffic info. Similarly, the PLUS traffic reports are timed more closely with the 740 LIVE traffic reports, which never seemed to have delays.

Any experiences? Do others think it has been fixed?

You would think that PLUS and LIVE traffic would be the same. Both are accessed over some sort of mobile data service (GPRS, EDGE, etc). I don't know why they would access different servers or one be delayed more than the other.

PLUS traffic uses Inrix as the vendor for their data.

LIVE traffic uses Trafficcast as its vendor, and will add and/or swap vendors with Inrix soon.

Trafficcast receives a one-time per-740-sale fee from Tomtom for its information, so most likely PLUS traffic isn't licensed to use Trafficcast data.

Hopefully the licensing clears itself up so both solutions are available on both platforms soon, but tests from members on this and other forums have shown that there are still differences today.

The fact that the PLUS vs LIVE differences have been reduced since 6/24 makes me think that the PLUS delay was fixed. Anyone else notice this?

I just drove against the flow of a few pockets of traffic right as congestion was clearing up.

Judging from the location of the slow-flow reports, and the timing of actual traffic disappearing vs PLUS reporting, I can confirm that there is a definite reduction in the PLUS traffic delay.

I would estimate the delay to be around 3 minutes, which is huge improvement over the prior plus system.
