TomTom VIA 1605 Is Not Able To Connect At All

I'm using Windows 7 and when I plug in the Tom Tom Via 1605 usb, the screen always says "not connected" I'm thinking it must be related to the software that was downloaded to my computer (MyDriveConnect) Is there an older version that I can download on the web or something???

Shouldn't be a problem with the version of MyDriveConnect. Something else is at play here. See here:

Further, make sure an anti-virus or firewall is not blocking proper transmission. Also, are you using the cable that came with the device? Does the device show as charging in an automobile?

Anyway, stuff for you to look at ....
