tomtom 910 does not sync with nokia phonebook

hi all i bought a tomtom 910 and i got a nokai 7100 supernova which is a newish phone . when i add the phone to the tomtom it works fine, but when i try download the phonebook to the tomtom its say not initialising synchrnisation then says data transfer not possible any ideas ? is it cause its a newish nokia ? thanks
