Tom Tom 920 broken screen

My screen on my 920 is cracked. Tom Tom will not repair or offer any assistance. I have been unsucessful finding a repair service online. I don't want to but would consider repairing it myself if I was sure about parts, procedure, etc. Does anyone have any info? Thanks in advance

When you think about this - it is a bit incredible. I do not know of any other significant manufacturer/vendor who offers NO repair service for its products except for warranty - which generally only consist of a refurbished replacement.

Talking about this in a forum has zero influence on TomTom, but if one or more major consumer rating/info organizations would pick up on it and highlight it - maybe that would have an impact, as it certainly would influence many buying decisions.

Is this also the case with Garmin?
