I can get my Tom Tom ONE Xl to show the pointing finger and city scape but the touch screen will not respond. Also it won't switch off by using the button. I have tried a reset twice but the problem remains.
Any ideas?

It sounds like the device is getting to the splash screen and no further when it boots up.

Connect it to your PC and use Windows Explorer to open the drive letter associated with the device.

Here you will see a number of folders and lose files, delete the lose files, DO NOT touch any folders or files within folders.

Next use the TomTom Home software to update your device, it will download and install a frsh copy of the Navcore software.

When its finished use the "Disconect my device" option rather than pulling the plug out otherwise file coruption can occur - Mike
