Satellite Acquisition Slow After 850 Update

Hi, I installed V850 maps on my 720 and now find that it is very slow (about 3-5 minutes) in acquiring the satellites. When I do get the satellites I only get 4 Bars for quite some time and then 5 a few minutes later. My app. is 8.351. I update every few days. My maps are on a 4 Gig SD (class 6) card with downloaded POI's.
I only noticed this issue(?) right after the map upgrade.
Anybody have the same issue? Is there something I can do to improve this?

A reset may help. Also delete everything in the ephem folder on the unit using Explorer and delete any sub-folders found here:

c:\documents and settings\yourname\my documents\TomTom\Home\Downloads\Complete\ephemeris\

This'll force a new gpsquickfix download. May help.

Thanks for the quick response. I followed all of your suggestions and it appears to be working much better. Ill have to try it on the road to be sure but I'm pretty sure you fixed for me.

I tried your fix last night on a longer trip and it worked great. Thanks for the great advice (as usual).
