Rider v2 white screen - UK repairs

My Rider v2 is not working, it stays on a white screen after switching on (no sound).

I've tried everything I could think of, reset procedure, clear flash, but nothing.

The unit is recognised in Home and I can reinstall a system on a new SD card.

Still... white screen only.

Since it appears to be something more serious than fixing the software, TomTom want €105 to repair a unit that is out of warranty. Ooch !

Have people here used services from a company other than TomTom to repair their unit ? Doing a Google search produces:

No personal experience of them I'm afraid, but I've heard good reports of the first one on your list.
My list from a previous post has that one and two others that weren't on your list.
