Can anyone help me please. I am trying to download Aires and campsites in France. I have tried several sites but cannot effect a download so that I can transfer them onto my Tom Tom.
If anyone knows how please be aware that I am not very IT savey!

Thanks

Doug

I know that Nav3 units aren't limited to anything nearly as low as 100 points. I often run upwards of 4,000 for one of my own POIs that is built anew weekly. So it may be that there's a problem in the creation of the *.ov2 file.

Can you please take the Aires source file that you obtained and create a *.zip of it and attach it here?

I do not know how to create a zip file when I try windows denies me access

The same thing happened when I tried to load the campsites onto my tomtom

I have attached the data as a text file because the forum will not let me attach a excel file

Regards

Doug

Even as a moderator, I can't attach an *.ov2 directly for you here, so I am attaching your results as a *.zip file. If you download it and save it to your PC, and double click it, Windows DOES know how to open these *.zip style files. Once open, slide the contents onto your desktop (or wherever) and try loading the *.ov2 to your unit with MyDrive.

Thank you very much everyone.
I am now in france so when I get back I will continue with my queat to load the aires. after I have had my computor fixed. When I tried to download winzip something went wrong and although I can log onto the internet the machine will not allow me to use any browsers! I have not got a clue what has happened so I am going to take it to a computor repair shop. When it is back I will contact you again.

regards

Your PC should be able to unpack a *.zip file without the addition of the WinZip package. It's been a native feature of Windows for quite some time. Download the *.zip file I have sent, double click on it, and your PC should open it to show you the contents (which will be the *.ov2 file you need for Aires).

Cannot download the zip file.

There was a site error going on here for a while, Arno. Give it another try.
