New windshield mount sucks

Dear users,
I recently purchased the new TomTom 140S and I have two comments which really are a backtrack from my old TomTom One 3rd.
First of all the display in sunlight is washed out even at 100% and the most annoying thing is mounting the unit on the windshield mount. Let me be precise, the problem is not the vacuum cup on the windshield it's mounting it on the support. You have to do it precisely and wait for an audible click from the three metal prong otherwise it will fall off and let me tell you it very very tricky.
I long for the old easy slide in mount of my old unit.
I'd appreciate your comments.

I agree. Like you had the tomtom one 3rd edit and just bought the tomtom one xl IQ routes and it cam with the easy mount bracket which I found awkward as well if you have a long sloping windscreen. I have just purchased a new mount which has an arm on it and you Can adjust to suit yourself.
