New map colours
Improve your navigation experience with new map colours that are brighter and higher in contrast.

Voice control improvements
For devices with voice control, this release improves the performance of voice control. It also adds more languages to voice control.

Voice control is now available in Czech, Danish, Dutch, UK English, Finnish, French, German, Italian, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Spanish, Swedish, and Turkish.

Note: The wake-up phrase is turned off by default after this software update. You can switch the wake-up phrase on or off in the settings menu.

Quick menu
Tap the speed panel or the symbol for your current location to access the quick menu. You can use the quick menu to do the following:

  • Report a speed camera
  • Change the speed limit
  • Mark a location to place a pin on the map and add it to your places.
Share changes to the map
You can now share changes to the map with the TomTom Map Share community. As soon as we have verified a group of changes, you can download and install the changes from the Map Share community onto your map.

There are two ways to report a map change:

  • Select a location on the map and create the change report immediately.
  • Mark a location and create the change report later.
To send your map change reports to TomTom, you must connect your navigation device to your computer and use MyDrive.

All map changes reported by TomTom navigation device users are verified by TomTom. These verified changes are then sent back to your own device as part of the next map update, usually within two weeks.

Additional POI information
You can now see more information about a POI on the screen, for example the type of a restaurant, a telephone number or the size of a car park.

To see more information about the POI, select the POI on the map and then select the pop-up menu button. Select More Information on the pop-up menu.

Dynamic route bar
You can now choose to see a wider route bar in the guidance view. The wider route bar shows exit information, amenities, additional fuel station information, rest areas, and much more.

To see a wider route bar, change the setting for Route Information. Follow these steps:

  • In the Main Menu, select the Settings Menu.
  • Select Appearance.
  • Select Route information.
  • Select Show large panel if possible.
Online search
On all GO 5000/6000 devices and on smartphone-connected GO 40/50/60/500/600 devices, Quick Search now enables you to search online. A new online search button lets you search using TomTom Places.

To search online, do the following:

  • Search for a POI using Search in the Main Menu.
The search results are shown in two columns.
  • Select Search Places Online.
  • Use the keyboard to enter the name of the POI you want to find, then press the Search button on the keyboard.
The search results are shown in a column.
  • Select an individual POI from the list.
The location is shown on the map.
Alternative route planning
After planning a route in the usual way, you can now request alternative routes using a pop-up menu in the map view. Up to three alternative routes are shown on the map view.
Each alternative route shows the difference in travel time in a balloon.

To find an alternative route, do the following:

  • Plan a route as usual.
  • On the map view, select the route itself.
  • Select the pop-up menu button to open the menu.
