MY XL 330 Will not connect to the computer

i just recently downloaded the new verison of the tomtom home for the computer and now it will connect between the computer and my xl330. I see the device in the portable section of the device manager.


can anyone help me please.

please note that I am to get the tomtom home and the xl330 to connect on my desktop but not on my laptop.
the laptop is a vista machine and the desktop is a xp machine.

i have tried that. i get a display of the xl330 operating listing but nothing else happens. I am holding the on/off button down to long ?
