Hoi fellow Tomtom fanciers,

I have received by mail, my TomTom Go 600C on Friday but unpacked it only yesterday. Purchased online from *BOL dot com*
In a hurry after waking up late, to attend a dancing class at a new location, I decided to use this new model. However, to my surprise, upon activating the power switch, there is no Map installed!!! The screen advice was to reinstall a map already own or go to the Tomtom shop to buy a map.

Huhhh??? WTF...!!!

Drove off for the highway with the GO 950 instead.... pffff

Came back later in the afternoon and tried to call Support from Tomtom but to no avail as both Holland & UK are closed for the weekend and Monday is a national holiday for our King's Day.
Has anyone a number for me for the UK Support that I can call that is a regular landline nr?

The 08xx number is non accessible from Holland unfortunately.
I'm posting it in here to also use as reference to prove later to the Reseller [BOL.com] when I managed to reach them on Tuesday with my dismay & grouse as you can imagine but I hope someone can help me overcome this disbelief without me having to install online and paying for a map download.

Any help and/or clues with information / Assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Did you charge the battery over night?
Yes I did... the usual mandatory routine as hooked up to the power point and not the PC which is the option too.

You should be able to install MyDrive below, and update the software and map for free. See if that solves your problem.

Thanks Mvl for the advice on this but I was pretty much exhausted looking up and reading more on the differing reviews and feedbacks that led me skipping my sleep and past the dawn hours until around 08:15 this morning.

I just woke up an hour ago and will look into it.

I did however, resorted to ordering a new unit but from Garmin instead. It'll arrive on Tuesday being the Nuvi 7" LMT-D model providing a rear Camera link-up which cuts my costs altogether as I was planning to install a rear camera nonetheless besides the standard option of rear parking sensors my new 2015 car, Hyundai i20 already has.
