Hi There

I have an older (c 2009) GO910, which I really liked for its itineraries.

Unfortunately it is powering off, showing the low battery symbol despite being powered by cigarette lighter feed.

Any suggestions welcome.

Many thanks
Rob

If you fear losing favorites or other things, a full backup of your unit is a good idea. However, the key to favorites will be the mapsettings.cfg file in your map folder. Always keep a copy of that on your PC. The best full backup is done this way >>> https://www.tomtomforums.com/thread...-to-the-computer-and-how-to-restore-it.17864/

That said, it is entirely possible, given the current age of your unit, that your battery is toast. Understand that when plugged into external power, and like many devices these days, the device is really running off the charging battery, not directly off the external power source. There are additional tutorials on making the swap. https://www.tomtomforums.com/threads/720-730-920-930-battery-replacement-tutorial.14261/
