Car Symbol

I used to be able to change my car symbol, all of a sudden I do not have the capability. I have a XL30 Series, RH serial number, am on 7.522 Application. TomTom support says I need 8.xxxx Application to change car symbol, what is going on, I had it, lost it, would like to get it back. Please help

Can you change it but not see it on the map? If so, you only see the changed car icon in 3D , not 2D view.
