Activation code for renault tomtom sat nav

Hi,

I have purchased a used Renault Kangoo van which has a built in Tomtom with a remote control, we have got a sim card with the tomtom maps however when i try to use the tomtom it asks for an activation code.
Where can I get this from? I have called renault and tomtom and they both just tell me to call the other.

Where did the SD card with the maps come from?
If it came with the van and was the original for the TomTom you may be in trouble if the original purchaser or the dealer can't tell you.

A new map card should come with an activation code.

I found that the Main swindlers will charge you around 98 smackers for a European map. or try fleabay. Prices do vary but ensure it is unused and has the activation code.
